Summertime is that time of the year when the major of Americans hit the road for vacations. Being prepared to hit the road and enjoy your vacation, Americans need to prepare for these trips. A prepared person will reduce stress on traveling to your vacation destination.
Here are a few tips to help prepare for a stress-free vacation.
- First, ensure that you have an emergency kit in the vehicle for those unexpected mechanical problems with your vehicle.
- Get a phone mount so you can easily see the directions.
- Make sure that if you are traveling with children that you have tablets, headphones, and chargers to ensure that the children will be able to entertain themselves for the trip.
- Packing a cooler with drinks and snacks will prepare you for those times while driving and you get hungry or just need to quench your thirst.
So - follow these few steps and ENJOY travel with your kids. They will remember the trip for years to come!

First, don’t plan too much - you will want to spend time just exploring as much as possible. One of my favorite lessons was from a Swiss tour guide who responded with "You Americans, you try to do too much" when we asked how to go up the mountain AND see the castle a down the road - in a day. We ended up just seeing the castle - at a leisurely pace - and completely enjoyed ourselves.
